Lip Blushing

lipblush

Lip blushing is a from of permanent makeup that semi permanently adds a touch of color onto your lips. Although it is technically a tattoo, we consider this to be a semi permanent service because touchups every 1-3 years are required due to fading to keep the desired color. We will never promise or guarantee that the color will ever completely fade away on its own.

This service takes two sessions and each session I book out 3 hours for. During the session, I will outline your lips to ensure balance and symmetry and then we discuss color choices that suit you best. This service takes time, I work slow but very light handed to ensure even coverage and to help you remain as comfortable as possible.

Lip blushing is a great way to add a perfectly natural tint to your lips so you can just add clear or tinted gloss and go! You can also add a darker color over your lips if you want to have a bolder look.

The lip stick effect is also, an option. This is when we choose a bolder color and really saturate the lips. This effect does not mean it will last longer, but it will take the color longer to fade out simply because the color is more intense.

If you have ever had a single cold sore ever in your life you can still have this service done, however, you will need to see your medical provider for Valtrex before your service to ensure you do not get one because you absolutely will! Failure to take the medicine as directed will result in a cold sore and will effect the overall result

If you have lip fillers you can still have this done! You just need to be sure that it has been at least 2 weeks since your last filler injection.

For all permanent makeup appointments I do require that there has been at least 2 weeks between your permanent makeup and any vaccines or medical shots to ensure no adverse reactions.

Powderbrows

Powderbrows are a from of permeant makeup that helps to add shape and symmetry to your existing brows. This procedure is done with a machine at a very slow speed to ensure your comfort and a soft effect. Touchups are required every 1-3 years to ensure color and shape. It is normal for your skin to “spit out” the color in certain areas so sometimes a little boost is needed before the 1 year mark.

Powderbrows require 2 sessions, the first is aways 2 hours and the second can take anywhere between 45 min and 2 hours. This all depends on your pre appointment preparation, aftercare, sun exposure, skin type and skin care regime. I will provide you with everything that you will need for your after care to ensure optimal results. Each session is 6-8 weeks apart.

At your Powderbrow session, I will do a predraw of your brows to give you an idea of how they will look when complete. I focus on size, shape and symmetry. Nobody has a completely symmetrical face so I do my best to balance them correctly on your face. This is the longest part of the appointment. I will help you decide on the right color of pigment for you and your skin type based on your hair color and skin. We will agree on the size, shape and color before I proceed with the service.

It is totally normal for your brows to appear bold or sharp immediately after your session, they can fade up to 80% so I have to be sure to deposit the right amount of pigment to give you the best result possible. If you leave your appointment with very soft, light, natural brows, you may return 6-8 weeks later for your touch up session with not much left, this may require a third session which is not included in the total fee. It is totally normal for parts of your skin to reject the pigment so some clients do need to come in for quick touchups before the 1 year mark. I will provide you with all of your aftercare supplies and instructions to ensure optimal results.

If you regularly receive neurotoxin of any brand, you must be 2 weeks post that treatment before getting your brows permanently done. If you are needing neurotoxin soon, then it is best to wait until after your have that done before having your powderbrow procedure. Neurotoxin can change where your brows sit on your face so its best to let that sit in before I make any permanent changes.

For all permanent makeup appointments I do require that there has been at least 2 weeks between your permanent makeup and any vaccines or medical shots to ensure no adverse reactions.

How to prepare for your permanent makeup

Discontinue any use of retinols for 2 weeks prior to appointment. You can still use on your face, but keep away from the area that will be worked on (brows or lip area)

No exfoliating your brows 48 hours prior to appointment. For lips, you want to exfoliate them 24 hours prior to ensure your lips are ready to take the color.

No alcohol or blood thinners, including fish oils, 24 hours prior to appointment and no coffee or metabolism boosters the day of the session. These will make you bleed which will push the color out which may lead to a third session which is not included in the total cost.

****No vaccinations of any kind for 2 weeks before or after each session. This includes the Flu shot and any booster shots***

For Brows, if you are due for botox, get it at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment and you must wait 2 weeks after your brow session.

For lips, you must be 2 week post filler before we do your lips so they can settle and balance out

Aftercare for brows

Every hour for the first 24 hours:

Gently clean with cotton and sterile or distilled water.

Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor with a micro swab and comb thru with a spoolie

You do not need to wake up in the middle of the night to do this

After the first 24 hours you only need to do this morning and night. If after the first 24 hours they feel tight and dry, you can apply a small amount of Aquaphor and comb. You do not need to clean them before applying more.

About Me

Hello! My name is Jeanine Rowe. Thanks for stopping by my page! I am the Owner and Sole Proprietor of Beauty Ink’d Omaha, located inside Lou Lou Salon Studio. I am a Permanent Makeup artist, Microblading Artist, Cosmetologist, Esthetician, and makeup artist....Halloween is my favorite holiday!

I am native to Omaha and have been in the beauty industry for 24 years. I began my career doing nails right after high school. After about 2 years, I decided to further my career and I entered Cosmetology School. This is where my passion for skin and makeup really started to blossom! I worked behind the chair providing nail, hair, skin and makeup services, for the last 20 years.

Then I realized t was time to take my career to the next level so I traveled to Dallas for my first Microblading class. I have trained under world renowned educators and have been fortunate enough to work at a few Medspas in town where I was able to soak up all the knowledge I could when it came to skin and all the different avenues that are available to combat any problem. During my training I learned about Xtract Ink tattoo removal system, a very unique, non laser tattoo, 100% holistic removal system. I kept growing and traveled to learn machine work (powderbrow, lip blushing, and eyeliner). I fell in love with this technique. I still work behind the chair doing hair but my main focus is Permanent Makeup. This is where my skills are best applied and where my clients get the best results. I'm always looking to the future for my clients.

Although I do not provide any medspa services, I do have several amazing providers that I refer my clients to.

I take pride in educating myself to provide the best services and knowledge to all of my clients and I am never too proud to tell someone that I may not be the artist for them. I have a great professional relationship with several PMU artists in town and across the country that I am happy to refer you to if needed.

My next goal is to master areola tattooing to help women who have survived breast cancer and are ready to take the next step in their recovery.
